They wake up tired.
They work hard.
They push.
They fight.
They survive.
They clean.
They build.
They hustle.
They hold everything together.
And to the world, they look strong.
But inside… they are quietly dying.
Because Day Six is the day God created man.
And it represents something very real:
Human effort. Human labor. Human strength. Human survival.
Day Six is not evil.
Work is not evil.
Building is not evil.
But Day Six has a hidden danger:
That is the trap.
The Bible says God created man on the sixth day.
But He did not stop there.
He created something else:
And the seventh day is not about laziness.
The seventh day is about a different kind of life:
A life where God is not your “helper.”
A life where God is your foundation.
The seventh day is where the soul finally understands:
“I don’t have to carry everything.”
Six is the sweat.
Six is the striving.
Six is the constant doing.
Six is the part of you that says:
If I don’t do it, nobody will.
Six is survival mode.
Seven is wholeness.
Seven is rest.
Seven is order.
Seven is Heaven’s fingerprint.
Seven is where you stop building your life like an orphan…
and start living like a child of God.
Deuteronomy is not just a book of laws.
It is God speaking to people who were slaves.
People who left Egypt physically…
but Egypt was still living inside their minds.
And God knew something about humans:
When they are suffering, they cry out to Him.
But when they finally get blessed…
they forget Him.
That is why God repeats Himself in Deuteronomy.
Because people forget.
And forgetting God is not a small thing.
Forgetting God is how you return to slavery.
Are you buying peace?
Or are you buying anxiety?
Are you buying truth?
Or are you buying survival?
Are you buying rest?
Or are you buying control?
Some people don’t realize this…
But you can purchase bondage every day
without even noticing.
And the price is always the same:
Your mind. Your heart. Your spiritual freedom.
The Old Testament is not meant to shame you.
It is meant to show you what happens when you live without awareness.
The Israelites made mistakes that look ancient…
but the truth is…
Their mistakes are modern.
Because Israel didn’t just struggle with enemies.
They struggled with:
complaining
fear
impatience
distraction
forgetting what God already did
building idols when they felt lonely
And if we’re honest…
So do we.
That is why the Old Testament feels like a mirror.
Because it is.
In 2025, people are busier than ever.
They work nonstop.
They scroll nonstop.
They chase nonstop.
But the soul cannot live in “six” forever.
Because man was not created only to work.
Man was created to walk with God.
Take a deep breath.
And ask yourself this quietly:
Where are you striving so hard…
that you have no room left for God?
Where are you carrying things that were never meant to be carried alone?
Where have you built a routine that looks successful…
but feels spiritually empty?
Father God,
I come to You today as Your child.
I confess that I have been living too much in Day Six.
I have been striving, pushing, controlling, and carrying things in my own strength.
Lord, I do not want to build a life that looks good on the outside
but is starving on the inside.
Teach me how to enter Your rest.
Teach me how to trust You again.
Remove Egypt from my mind.
Remove fear from my heart.
Remove the lie that says I must do everything alone.
Today, I choose the seventh day.
I choose Your presence.
I choose Your peace.
I choose Your voice.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Write honestly
